Greetings!
My name is Chaz Walters and I am the Volunteer Coordinator for Young Audiences of Maryland. I've had this idea for a while, but never the capacity to pull it off: I want to publish on our website and via email a monthly newsletter strictly dedicated to everything volunteering.
My idea is to produce a professional looking newsletter using a free client. I'm really looking for someone who's interested in design, editing, loves social media, is creative, and wants to really be in control of this project.
Although this is a volunteer position, I'm really looking for someone who could take things a step further; someone to really own the project and make it theirs. I would provide all the necessary volunteer information and you would put it together beautifully. I would like for you to come into the office at least once a week in the beginning and then possibly only once a month once we know how the project is going to go.
If this is something that you are interested in, please email me at Chaz@yamd.org with the subject "Volunteer Newsletter".
Thanks so much and I look forward to working with someone amazing!

Mission Statement
Mission
Young Audiences transforms the lives and education of our youth through the arts by connecting educators, professional artists, and communities. We provide artistically-excellent programs, expertise, and resources to ensure opportunities for all students across the state of Maryland.
We strive to:
- Bring more arts into Maryland schools by tapping into the talent of the artists living in our communities.
- Train teachers of all subject areas to use the arts to engage students in the learning process through arts integration.
- Ensure disadvantaged schools have more access to the arts by covering the financial gap between what schools can afford and what artists need to earn.
Description
Young Audiences, the nation’s largest arts education network, began in Baltimore in 1950. During our 63-year history, the Maryland affiliate of Young Audiences has expanded its services to Maryland students, teachers, and artists to give more students the opportunity to imagine, create, and realize their full potential through the arts.
Last year, Young Audiences’ roster of nearly 50 professional teaching artists provided more than 9,000 live performance, workshop, artist-in-residence, and professional development programs to 374 schools and organizations across Maryland, reaching nearly 200,000 students. Our partners share a commitment to creating moments for students to learn while gaining personal insight, strength, and imagination.
