ORGANIZATION: YOUNG WOMENS CHRISTIAN ASSOCIATION OF NEWBURYPORT

  • 8 people are interested

The YWCA has 22 units of affordable housing on its Market Street campus. Many of our tenants do not have reliable transportation and are unable to access local food pantries. We are looking for volunteers who can commit to help us overcome this challenge. Specifically, we are looking for people who would be available on Tuesday mornings, Friday afternoons and/or Saturday mornings once or twice a month to bring folks to and from the food bank. The food banks are in Newbury, Salisbury and Amesbury (depending on the day.)Volunteers would be using the YWCA van so must a have a good driving record and take a short on-line training. We are also seeking a once a month Thursday morning volunteer(s) willing to drive the van to Haverhill to deliver bagged groceries to the Salisbury Senior Center.
