Description

We provide one year of free college-level education to people in prison. The curriculum is based upon that of a first year seminary education. Students must take all the courses to earn a Certificate in Ministry and Human Services. We not only teach the academic study of religion, but support each student's personal spiritual journey and foster a community of learners. We have found this combination to be a powerful tool for rehabilitation and personal transformation. Even though this is a Christian-based program, we welcome students and instructors of all faith traditions. We explore religion and religious practices from an academic perspective, we do not proselytize. We expect each student to strengthen their faith, whatever it may be.
