The Dorothy Dawson Invite is one of the premiere youth indoor track & field competitions in the state of Illinois! The event honors Ms. Dorothy Dawson who is a pioneer in Illinois and Youth Athletics. Hosted by the USATF Illinois Association, the competition welcomes youth athletes ages 8-18. High school athletes are eligible to participate as unattached, as members of an organized club or with school teams!

USA Track & Field (USATF) is the National Governing Body for track & field, long-distance running and race walking in the United States. USATF Illinois is one of 57 local Associations. USATF is a volunteer-driven, not-for-profit organization with a staff of professional program administrators at the National Office in Indianapolis.
