POSITION SUMMARY:

The Graphic Design and Advertising Intern/Volunteer is responsible for creating all marketing materials for the Women’s Centerof Jacksonville. This position works directly under the Director of Development and the Volunteer Coordinator.

WORKPLACE/EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

This position is ideal for skilled graphic design or advertising students or recent graduates who are looking to learn and be challenged by a highly creative work environment, while building a killer portfolio. Work samples must be presented at interview for consideration.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

Position requires an independent, self-motivated individual with effective communication skills. Individual must be able to work under tight deadlines, manage multiple priorities in an office environment. Must be extremely proficient in Adobe Suite, specifically Photoshop and InDesign. Must pay attention to detail and have a creative flair.

JOB DUTIES:
-Designing print materials, brochures, banners, postcards, business cards, etc.
-Developing designs for merchandise products: t-shirts, cups, lanyards, etc.
-Creating Campaign: Website Sliders, Marketing Materials, etc.
-Develop a plan to spread awareness of the WCJ services through advertising.
