The National Language Service Corp (NLSC) is a one-of-a kind organization that offers citizens with language skills the chance to help communities and the government during times of crises, emergencies and non-emergencies, short gap language needs; domestic or abroad.

The NLSC has received an inquiry from a federal agency that has a need for Afghan Dari interpreter/translators for a domestic assignment. This opportunity would require you to become a member of the NLSC. There is no membership fee to join the organization and all members of the NLSC are volunteers but are paid a stipend for any hours worked. This is not a full-time position, but rather an assignment that requires an individual with the skill set below.

NLSC Membership requirements :

You must be a U.S. citizen

You must be at least 18 years old

Male applicants must have registered for Selective Service

Position Requirements:

1-5 yrs. Consecutive interpretation experience Afghan Dari < > English

Familiarity with military terminology preferred

Willingness to take a language test (DLPT, OPI) administered by NLSC Language Certification Team

Willingness to be federally hired

Willingness to travel to Tampa, Florida

Availability to participate in a project during February 11, 2017 -February 15 2017
