FLIFF VOLUNTEERS
FLIFF MEMBERSHIP EVENT

Volunteers are needed all year at Savor Cinema, downtown Fort Lauderdale, and/or Cinema Paradiso, 2008 Hollywood Boulevard, Hollywood, Florida. Noted celebrity & filmmaker personal appearances are enjoyed by the audiences and volunteers of FLIFF (Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival aka Broward County Film Society), in addition to many special events and fabulous films. You will meet many interesting people and
make new friends while preserving, with your volunteer time, the arts & culture in this and many other communities. November 2018 you will have the opportunity of volunteering for the 33rd Annual Film Festival of FLIFF.

We are looking for enthusiastic, reliable, efficient, flexible, self-motivated people who excel in working with and pleasing the public. Assignments are simple; shifts usually about 3-5 hours. Schedules can be arranged suitable to your available time. As a plus, you will be amazed by the camaraderie with other Volunteers and FLIFF members. This group is truly outstanding. Everything from being a theater usher to helping prep for parties is offered as a FLIFF Volunteer assignment. It's your choice of dates, times & assignments. Best of all is if you can be specific to volunteer on a regular basis.

Mission Statement The mission of the Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival (FLIFF) is to showcase the best independent, domestic and international films, especially to Florida residents and visitors, to provide educational opportunities and recognition assisting in the development of Florida students and emerging filmmakers, and to promote Broward County screening and filming opportunities to the film industry. FLIFF is a 501( c )(3) Not For Profit Organization. Volunteers play an important role in the success of our operations.

Description

Now in its 36th year, The Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival (FLIFF) screens films from around the globe all year. More than 50 countries will be represented at the 2019 Festival. Filmmakers, celebrities and movie fans will attend many of the screenings and events during the main Festival, November 1-17, 2019. Nightly parties and gatherings are planned at Savor Cinema in Fort Lauderdale. Yachts and luxurious hotels will provide audiences an opportunity to hob knob with film talent and other movie buffs., Savor Cinema (503 SE 6 Street, Fort Lauderdale, formerly Cinema Paradiso Lauderdale) and Cinema Paradiso Hollywood (2008 Hollywood Boulevard) are South Florida's most unique movie houses presenting independent and foreign films & documentaries, extreme sports films, anime, local & Florida films, previews and first run films, with comfortable, plush stadium seating. Both locations are available as rentals for various occasions, especially weddings. The Savor Cinema building was a church and has stained glass windows and a lovely outside tented courtyard that is perfect for receptions.
We also now have the Gateway Cinema in Ft. Lauderdale as one of our venues.
