Every semester, the Outdoor Classroom program at the Cibolo Nature Center allows over 2000 students to have interactive, meaningful, and fun experiences in nature. Field trips come from around the Hill Country to learn about the great outdoors in the great outdoors! We need volunteers to be outdoor classroom leaders. No education experience necessary -- we'll give you everything you need to lead short lessons for kids from PreK to high school. This orientation and training will help you get ready to volunteer during the Spring 2019 semester. We ask that volunteers work at least one three hour shift per month, but we're happy to host you for more!

Mission Statement
Our mission is to promote conservation of natural resources through education and stewardship.
Description
Cibolo Nature Center & Farm was founded in 1988 to promote conservation of natural resources through education and stewardship. We preserve the 100 acres of the Cbolo Nature Center, as well as 60+ acres in and around Herf Farm in Boerne.
We believe our brightest future is one lived in harmony with nature. Beginning with the Cibolo Creek, our aim is to ensure our natural treasures are not only protected, but thriving. To do this, we’re building a unique conservation model to protect our resources, study and learn from the natural world, teach and apply sustainable farming practices, and encourage the enjoyment and celebration of nature. We believe that our model is teachable and that our successes in the Cibolo Creek can be replicated in conservation efforts across the globe!
