Project New Village is looking for volunteers to honor Dr. King’s life and legacy through with a day of service at the Mt Hope Community Garden. We will start the day with a brief program of statements and storytelling (10a - 10:30a); work projects including building a compost bin, refurbishing garden beds and arbors, preparing soil for planting, painting, and much more (10:30a - 1p); and closing with food and fellowship (1p - 2p).

  • To engage youth and adults of diverse backgrounds in wellness activities that benefit the community
We define community wellness or social wellness as being aware of, participating in, and feeling connected to your community. It means developing healthy relationships with those around you. Social wellness encourages contribution to the welfare of the community.
