Academic Coaches are needed weekly from 3:30 PM to 5:00 PM on Tuesdays for our UpLIFT program. Academic Coaches will be provided with a curriculum guide based on an IEP to creatively engage participants in reviewing and strengthening common core standards.

Description:

Academic coaches are needed to provide non-classroom, academic instruction to students on an individual or small-group basis for proactive or remedial purposes. In order to make an impact, preparation is needed before the session. Each Tuesday, it is required to help facilitate tutoring workshops, collaborative projects, or academic support sessions for small groups of students.

Each potential academic coach is required to participate in orientation/training and development session to improve tutoring practices or share/ develop new tutoring techniques. Research or recommended textbooks, software, equipment, or other learning materials to complement tutoring is welcome.
