Volunteer basketball coach means you will volunteer your time to help coach our youth members from age groups 6-8 yr. olds and 9-11 yr. olds. The coaching season start January 9th and there is a back ground check in order to coach. This volunteer opportunity is perfect for those who need to accumulate a certain amount of hours for college. Time frames consist of two days a week for only an hour.

6-8 yr. olds group

Monday 5pm or Tuesday 6pm of your choosing!

Games Wednesday can vary from 6-7pm or 7-8pm

9-11 yr. olds group

Monday 6pm or Tuesday 7pm of your choosing!

Games Thursday can vary from 6-7pm or 7-8pm

We are not a competitve league we are looking for those to help instill that there is more to basketball games then just winning such as sportsmanship, dedication and commitment.

Description

Many children have no adult supervision after school. Studies have shown that the hours between 3 and 7 p.m. are the hours that most kids are likely to get involved with crimes, be victims of crime or engage in other risky behavior. The Clubs provide an alternative to the dangers of the streets. Moreover, the Clubs provide stimulating activities that help build character, self-esteem, values, and skills.
