ORGANIZATION: Literacy Solutions NY

Literacy Solutions NY, Inc. offers on-line tutor training to prepare volunteers to work with either a Basic Literacy student, an adult with less than a fifth grade reading level, or a non-English speaking adult. You do NOT have to speak the language of your student. Our tutors work with their learners on survival-level reading, writing, listening and speaking.

A face to face orientation precedes registration for the on-line training. Subsequent continuing education opportunities for volunteers are offered at different locations in both Rockland and Westchester Counties.
