The Ronald McDonald House of Chapel Hill is always looking for House Volunteers who want to help others. The tasks you do at work or around your house are the same tasks that regularly need to be done here. House Volunteers often work in ways that immediately help the families. Volunteers do things such as answer phones, give tours to visitors, prepare bedrooms, help families get settled, provide directions to hospitals and doctors' offices, bake, clean, maintain the house gardens, organize the linen room, run errands, and help decorate for special events.
The House Volunteer program begins with a minimum six-month commitment. House Volunteers give three hours of time weekly during a regular shift. If you are 18 years of age or older, have time to spare and are willing and able to perform tasks that will help us to accomplish our goal of making our families' stays as pleasant as possible, please contact us.

Ronald McDonald House Charities, a non-profit, 501 (c) (3) corporation, creates, finds and supports programs that directly improve the health and well being of children. Its grassroots-driven programs offer help where children need it most - right in their own communities. RMHC makes an immediate, positive impact on children's lives through its global network of local Chapters in 52 countries and regions and its three core programs: the Ronald McDonald House, Ronald McDonald Family Room and Ronald McDonald Care Mobile. These programs provide a bridge to accessible health care and allow families more time together, which helps in the healing process. RMHC and its global network of local Chapters also have hundreds of millions of dollars in grants and program services to children's programs around the world.
