The Detroit Fillmore has donated several hundred custom concert posters to our organization in order to assist in funding some of our 2016/2017 initiatives for our Christmas Celebration, School Supplies, Winter Clothing for children and adults, and household supplies for Veterans.
Our group coordinator will be in the building for all events that we have from September 2016 - January 2017.
2-4 Sellers are needed per concert to sell the posters that have been donated to us as well as sell 50/50 raffle tickets.
Most concerts start around 7p - Volunteers are asked to arrive 1 hour prior to the doors opening to ensure they set up the table in time for the doors to open. Volunteers are to man the table from the time doors open until the main performer goes on stage (usually 2 hours from the time doors open). When the main act goes on volunteers can remain at the table or choose to go and watch the performance. However, they are to return to the table 15 minutes prior to the end of the performance and remain at the table until the concert let's out to finish the raffle.
In some cases depending on crowd size - the Volunteers may leave after the main performer goes on stage or proceed to enjoy the show without returning back to the table. This will be decided by the coordinator on the day of the event.
Volunteers may communicate specific times they can volunteer - as not all volunteers will need to arrive right at the beginning time and stay right until the end of the concert.
Parking : The Fillmore Detroit does not offer parking, however there is ample of options directly around the venue and prices range from $5 - $15 depending where you park. Also, you can park at the MGM Casino for Free or Park at Greektown Casino for Free and take the monorail over to Grand Circus Park, The Fillmore is than located one block north of Grand Circus Park.
