Judges for 5th Annual Teen Business Competition

Sponsored by Connectwise and Citi, the Teen Business Challenge is an annual week-end event where teams of teens compete by creating a business plan based upon an app idea that they come up with.There are four rounds representing various phases of the project.Teams can win points in each round, and the team with the most points at the end, wins the tournament.

We are seeking 12 judges to judge one round of the tournament.Judges will be provided with the "play book" in advance which includes the rubrics for each round. It is also requested that as many judges as possible, attend our Monday evening sessions which will actually be used to modify the judging criteria and rubrics from the previous year.This is occurring because we’ve updated the competition which will also mean updating the play book as well.Judges will also be invited to attend a training session the week prior to the event.

The four Challenges are:

· "The Big Idea" - Creative problem-solving

· "Biz Model" - Concept modeling

· "MVP" - Product Modeling

· "The Pitch" - Organizing ideas and communicating clearly

The event will be held February 18th and 19th, at Hillsborough Community College, Ybor Campus.
