Kitties & Pitties saves more then 250 cats each year through our Foster Care Program. We do not have a shelter, we have a network of loving foster homes. Our cats are placed in our volunteer foster homes to await their adoption, which is why foster homes are such an important part of K&P’s program. Each foster home space that we have available represents one more cat that we can assist. All of our volunteers are important, but without foster homes and adoptions, we would not be able to rescue any cats.
Our cats come to Kitties & Pitties from many different places and circumstances. Some animals need as little as two weeks of care, while others may need care for more than three months.
Here's how it works:
Our fosters will receive a starter kit consisting of a litter box, litter, food and water bowls, and both dry and wet food.
Our fosters care for our animals and provide them with interaction and stimulation.
We will pick our kitties and transport them for veterinary care, if needed.

Mission Statement
Kitties & Pitties is a Maryland based non-kill animal rescue dedicated to saving the lives of animals. We are all-breed inclusive, but recognize the special needs of cats and pit bulls. We strive to better the lives of animals by offering a variety of services.
Description
Kitties & Pitties animals are placed in loving foster homes while awaiting adoption. This provides for a more serene living environment than a shelter and a greater opportunity for individual interaction and enrichment.
While in foster care, our animals receive a high quality holistic diet and whenever possible, we rely on natural remedies to resolve common ailments.
Kitties & Pitties provides our foster families with all necessary cat food and supplies for their foster pets and works closely with local veterinarians to make sure our animals receive all appropriate vaccinations, spay/neuter, and any other necessary medical treatment prior to adoption. Our goal is to offer happy, healthy, well balanced pets to forever homes.
In an effort to reduce the feral cat population, Kitties & Pitties also offers Trap, Neuter, and Release (TNR) services. Young or friendly cats living in these feral colonies will join our foster family program.
We also provide support to feral colony caregivers by offering outdoor shelters and cat food when available.
