Jennie the Jaguar!

Love to dance, write songs, or sing? Want to teach young children their first instrument or legit dance move/routine?

Reed Elementary in Tacoma, WA is seeking enthusiastic volunteers who enjoy working with elementary-aged youth in our after school program, Jaguar Jump!

Jaguar Jump occurs every Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday (we've also added every other Friday) from 3:30 - 5:15pm. The program is open to 2nd-5th grade students with the opportunity for expansion if we have a committed volunteer or two!

We are specifically looking for someone that could teach our students hip hop/urban dance and or lead them in a rap or pop songwriting workshop. Guitar lessons and/or DJ'ing/turntable instruction would also be great!

Our program starts Monday, October 2nd and will go until Thursday, June 7th.

The daily schedule is as follows:

3:30 - 3:45 - Welcoming activity/Q&A

3:45 - 3:55 - Snack time

4:00 - 4:45 - Activity

4:45 - 5:15 - Academic enrichment and mentoring

In order to volunteer, all we ask is that you come to the main office and complete a volunteer packet. Once approved, we would love to have you working with our students!!!

:)
