Habitat for Humanity of Jacksonville (HabiJax) is seeking ReStore Team Leaders!

The HabiJax ReStores are home improvement retail outlets and an important part of the HabiJax ministry. New or gently used items are donated by local individuals and businesses. We then sell these items (furniture, appliances, cabinets, light fixtures, etc.) to the public at discounted prices. Items that would typically end up in a landfill are given a second chance--in 2015 alone we saved 72 tons from going into landfills.

ReStore Team Leaders oversee the completion of different tasks by leading groups of volunteers at the stores. Tasks include: assisting with donation pick-ups from donors, unloading trucks, processing donations, moving items onto the sales floor, pricing items, stocking items, cleaning, organizing, and providing customer service.

The ReStores adheres to safety guidelines regarding COVID-19.
The screener will meet them at the front desk and give them a thermometer to take their temperature. They will ask screening questions about any symptoms experienced in the past 24-48 hours: cough, shortness of breath, difficulty breathing, sore throat, body aches, chills, muscle pain, headaches, new loss of taste or smell, fever of 100.4 F or above. If they do not pass the screening, they will not be permitted to volunteer at the ReStore, be asked to return home, and not return until they are symptom free for 72 hours or you have tested negative for COVID-19. Upon passing the screening, they will receive a bracelet to indicate that they have passed the screening and agree to the new PPE protocol. They will then be permitted to start the volunteer day. They must use the provided hand sanitizer, use work gloves and have or will be provided a clean personal cloth mask or disposable mask. If they do not follow the above regulations, they will be asked to leave.

HabiJax operates two ReStores in the Jacksonville area. The Beach Blvd ReStore is our 40,000 sq. ft. store located on the Southside near University Blvd. The 103rd Street ReStore is our 28,000 sq. ft. store located on the Westside near Blanding Blvd.

The ReStore is a busy operation and we need your help! When you donate your time to the ReStore, you help build houses -- all proceeds from the store go to our affordable housing program!

We are looking for leaders who would love to volunteer with us and become part of the HabiJax ReStore family!
