Special Olympics Nevada serves more than 3500 athletes in the State of Nevada. We receive 1 athlete application every two days. We also have more 1,000 volunteers and volunteer applications keep coming in.
Our need is for some volunteers willing to come in once or twice a week on a consistant basis to help with database management. Training will be provided.
All volunteers interested would need to fill out a volunteer form, which includes a background check.

Mission Statement
Special Olympics Nevada offers free sports training and competition opportunities every day, throughout the year in fourteen different sports. Paid staff operate in one office and oversee 12 local area programs that are run by volunteers. Special Olympics Nevada's office is based in Las Vegas.
Description
Special Olympics provides year-round sports training and competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for people eight years of age and older with intellectual disabilities. Our programs give our athletes continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in the sharing of gifts, skills, and friendship with their families, other athletes and the community.
