MSV Volunteers provide support to the Museum in a variety of ways. Once completing training assist our staff and visitors by specializing in one opportunity or many.
Gallery Support Volunteer: Greet visitors, provide gallery orientation, answer questions and direct guests to exhibits.
Education Department Volunteer: Assist with youth and adult programs such as ticket taking, organizing material for craft programs and assisting with summertime youth outdoor events.
Guest Services Volunteer: Greet visitors, hand out maps and provide orientation. on the MSV Campus. Answer visitors questions about where to go and what to do while visiting the Shenandoah Valley
Special Events Volunteer: Assist at indoor and outdoor events taking tickets, distributing guest wrist bands, and registering guests. Enjoy the event or concert while helping out!
Gardens and Grounds Volunteer: Work with Gardens and Grounds staff in planting, weeding, pruning, mulching, updating garden plant records, labels and other tasks as needed.

Description
The Museum of the Shenandoah Valley (MSV) interprets the art, history, and culture of the great valley for which it is named. This regional museum complex in Winchester, Virginia, includes a historic house dating to the eighteenth century, six acres of spectacular gardens, and a 50,000 square-foot museum designed by internationally recognized architect Michael Graves.
