The Habitat for Humanity ReStores need your help! Due to unforseen circumstances, we are in desperate need of a volunteer to help on our ReStore donation truck. This volunteer would be responsible for assisting in the pickup and safe transport of donated items from local residents and businesses back to the Caln ReStore. We are specifically looking for help on Mondays or Saturdays from 9am-3pm.
The volunteer will be riding along with a trained ReStore staff member. He/She should be able to carefully lift and move 100 pounds during the loading and unloading of donations and should be prepared to pick up donations in a variety of weather conditions. Good customer service skills and a friendly disposition are a must since volunteers will be interacting with donors all day!
Because this volunteer would be entering the homes of local residents, a background check will be performed. This is a short-term volunteer opportunity that would ideally be every week for about a month and more sporadic in the following months.

Mission Statement
Habitat for Humanity of Chester County's (HfHCC) goals are summarized by our formal mission statement which reads: "Providing basic, well-built, affordable, owner-occupied housing with God's people in need - in a way that builds hope, dignity, and independence, develops partnerships, encourages community, involves Christians and others of goodwill and cooperates with other organizations so that God's love is shared and celebrated".
Description
Habitat for Humanity of Chester County builds homes for low-income families in Chester County. We give a hand up, not a handout, so our houses are not free! Each home is sold to a hard-working, low-income family using a no-interest 30-year mortgage for the full purchase price of the home. Homeowners' mortgage payments, are recylced back into our construction fund to build more houses.
Since 1989, volunteers have built or renovated over 140 homes for low-income families in need of decent, affordable housing.
