Run small gift shop for the all-volunteer West End Museum
Duties include
- researching and developing new products
- purchasing
- display
- online/inhouse sales
- working with marketing team
- interacting with museum visitors
The Gift Shop Coordinator will work 4 to 6 hours weekly while museum is open to the public [ Tues - Fri 12-5 pm and Sat 11 am - 4 pm]
About the West End Museum:
We are a Boston neighborhood museum looking for people who are interested in the history and culture of Boston. The Museum is dedicated to the documentation and preservation of the former West End neighborhood’s diverse cultural heritage.
You can expect to find a casual workplace of friendly men and women who are welcoming and eager to meet the public. A previous knowledge of the neighborhood is not required, but an appreciation of its historical significance is recommended.
The Museum is conveniently located close to the MBTA North Station, Charles Street Station and Bowdoin Station.

The Museum provides a space for past and present residents and the community; educates the public in history and urbanization; and preserves its material history and culture. About the West End Museum:
We are a Boston neighborhood museum seeking volunteers interested in the history and culture of the City of Boston, its immigrant era, and urban renewal. The Museum is a 501(c)3 charitable non-profit organization dedicated to the collection, preservation, and interpretation of the history and culture of the West End of Boston.
You can expect to find a casual workplace of friendly Volunteers and Staff who are welcoming and eager to engage with the public. A previous knowledge of the neighborhood is not required, but an appreciation of its historical significance is helpful.
The Museum is conveniently located close to the MBTA Science Park/West End Station and North Station. Bowdoin Station is about a 10-minute walk.
