A Social Media & Marketing Intern is needed for The Sugar & Stilettos Charitable Foundation’s Mother’s Day Challenge benefitting the Westside Food Bank. There will be a CrowdRise online fundraising campaign, fabulous gift certificates that will be sold on our website, extraordinary jewelry offered in raffles culminating with a Bake Sale Extravaganza and the crowning of Mr. Sugar & Stilettos 2017 on May 13, 2017, 1-4pm.
Responsibilites:
-Work closely with Founder/President, Nanci Christopher in planning and executing event
-Manage Social Media outlets on a daily basis (FB, Twitter, Instagram, Tumblr, Pinterest)
-Assist in PR and promotional efforts with Nanci and her PR person
-Follow-up help with personalized thank you notes/packages after the event
Time commitment:
February thru March - 3-5 hours a week
April-May - 5-6 hours a week
Work event 10am-6pm on May 13th (set up through break down)
Qualifications:
Outgoing and enthusiastic personality
Proficiency in Social Media platforms
Excellent communication skills: solid grammar, good telephone manner, ability to convey message clearly
Creative, ability to think outside the box
Capable of working independently as well as with others
Research and analytical skills
Must own laptop and car to run errands when needed (gas money will be provided)

Westside Food Bank's mission is to provide as much nutritious food as possible to local agencies with food assistance programs and to reduce food waste in Western Los Angeles County.
Description
Since 1981, Westside Food Bank has provided food to local social service agencies serving low-income individuals and families.
We currently supply more than 70 agencies with a balanced variety of nutritious foods. Our member agencies come to our warehouse to pick up weekly food allotments, and/or receive food delivered from our Extra Helpings Westside prepared and perishable food rescue program. Our food reaches over 105,000 unduplicated individuals each year.
