You can make an impact by bringing your real-world experience into the classroom! We have open opportunities to teach students about financial literacy, work readiness, and entrepreneurship for 1 hour/week for 5-7 weeks.
Requirements:
- You will be trained and given teaching material 1-2 weeks prior to your start date
- Set aside 1-2 hours to prepare for your class
- The teacher will be in the classroom with you for all your sessions, so you do not have to have prior experience in the classroom or working with students

Mission Statement
To educate and inspire young people to value free enterprise, business and economics in order to improve the quality of their lives.
Description
Junior Achievement of Southern California is a non-profit organization whose mission is to inspire and prepare young people to succeed in a global economy. Our three pillars of success: entrepreneurship, financial literacy and work readiness, are helping prepare young people for the real world by showing the economic relevance of staying in school, building self-confidence, and inspiring them to dream big for their futures.
At JA Finance Park, students are given a unique life profile after answering a series of future lifestyle questions. Their life profile includes an income, marital status, even kids! Using this new adult persona, students work to create a balanced monthly budget while making decision regarding housing, transportation, insurance, savings, entertainment expenses and much more.
