The Project LIFT Food Coordinator will help assist with developing and overseeing the nutrition component for our Tuesday UpLIFT and Thursday Spiritual LIFT after school programs.
Our program provides students with a small meal when they arrive at the program. This volunteer opportunity requires someone to coordinate the meals they will endure when they arrive through food donations from restaurants, grocery stores, and various other sources. They donations must cover 40 students on Tuesday and Thursday. May required a volunteer to pick items up from the donor.
The volunteer opportunity will help assist with managing the nutrition objectives, planning nutrition lessons, identifying food and nutrition related supplies, and assisting with food service planning and delivery every Tuesday and Thursday from 3:00-4:30. Our participants always come hungry! We welcome donations from individuals, restaurants, and businesses.

Description
Project LIFT, a non-profit 501(c)3 organization, is a performance based mentoring program that provides participants with a personal mentor (Coach) to help them improve their academic performance and enhance their abilities to withstand daily challenges as a teen. During the school year, students attend academic and personal development sessions. During these sessions students focus on their goals and how to achieve them. These sessions provide academic support, mentor and peer accountability, and life skills development.
