Guna Foundation creates documentary films on Buddhist topics. Our first two films aired on local PBS stations across the US, and we are currently distributing our latest film, The Great Transmission .
We are seeking a graphic designer to meet various graphic needs for Guna Foundation on a part-time volunteer basis.
We are a volunteer-based organization with the goal of bringing awareness to large-scale cultural preservation projects in Asia, including the distribution of over 4 million texts to Tibetan communities in exile. Our staff is comprised of full-time and part-time volunteers.
Responsibilities
Conceptualize and execute design projects as needed: website design, assets and landing page for new fundraising campaigns, email blasts, graphics for social media and online use.
After establishing design, production, and budget parameters for various ongoing projects with supervisor, independently manage all aspects of these projects, from implementation to reviewing proofs to delivery.
Qualifications
-Undergraduate degree in design or related field, or equivalent work experience.
-Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
-Experience designing for responsive web and print, and a portfolio of recent work.
-Bonus -- Cross-field expertise in any of these areas: Web development, HTML, CSS, UI/UX; Experience with marketing/promotions/advertising, social media, Adwords, SEO; Experience with Buddhist subject matter; Experience with film and editing.
