Harvest Home is looking to revive our Advocate Committee. You would be hosting, at your home or at a church, quarterly meetings for advocates from churches and other community organizations. The purpose of the meetings is to keep advocates, and their respective organizations, interested and informed about Harvest Home's needs, upcoming events and how they can help. Think of it as a networking event for Harvest Home. This committee is crucial in establishing and managing relationships with the community. Specific tasks may include working with the Director to better understand Harvest Home's needs, reconnecting with advocates on the outdated contact list, seek advocates from local churches and organizations, establish the meeting agenda, send meeting invitations, coordinate snacks at meetings and so forth. This person will be crucial in defining what this committee could and should be. This person will not work alone but will network with others to form a head committee to lead the Advocates Committee. Harvest Home has already spoken with a few individuals who have expressed an interest in being a part of this committee.
