In addition to facing emotional and behavioral disabilities, more than 80 percent of our students live in poverty. As they often struggle with daily basic needs, many have few resources for a holiday meal.
You can help make their Thanksgiving special by donating to The Foundation Schools Thanksgiving Food Drive.
Donations are distributed through our Foundation Links program* which supports students and their families facing crises through in-home counseling, connections to community resources and basic needs.
Accepted Items:
-Non-perishable food items
-Gift cards
-Monetary contributions. Donate online: www.givedirect.org/donate/?cid=4775.
*Minimum donations of $500 to the Foundation Links program are eligible to receive Maryland tax credits equal to 50% of the contribution.
Drop off locations include our schools (Gaithersburg,MD and Largo, MD) and administrative office (Rockville, MD).
