Help residents in Riverwest and Harambee neighborhoods properly file their taxes and get certified at the same time.
This is a great opportunity to use an existing skill or learn a new one to help your community.
This December we will begin training for certification and our tax preparation VITA site will open from Feb. 1st - April 18th. Conveniently sign up for the days and times you’d like to volunteer ahead of time. The VITA site is administered by the Riverworks Center, and will be held at our office on 526. E. Concordia Ave.
We are especially in need of Senior Tax Specialists, however, we do provide free certification to any volunteer wishing to learn how to prepare a multitude of different returns.
Not all volunteers need to file returns to help our site.

Description
We are a small non-profit located on the boundary between Riverwest and Harambee neighborhoods, and have been helping both communities for 25 years.
Our efforts help maintain parks, build new ones, provide financial training to residents, connect residents to jobs and home ownership, connect those home owners to resources, organize block clubs for safety, and promote the positive culture of our communities.
