November 18, 2016

Task #1 - Take supplies over to Flight the day before event and put in storage area.

Skills: Able to lift heavy objects (20 lbs or less), own transportation

November 19, 2016

Task #2 [Set Up]- (1st Shift: 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.) Putting up tables for raffle/silent auction, Care Ring info, check in, decorate, set out snacks

Task #3[Event Management]- (2nd Shift: 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.) Guest check-in/ticket sales, security, food server, floater, raffle and silent auction watchers

Task #4 [Event Management]- (3rd Shift: 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.) Same as Task #3 PLUS clean up designated area at 9:00 p.m.

Note: Volunteers will receive a free meal for those working after 4:00 p.m.. Volunteers may not drink alcohol during their shift.

Description

Care Ring offers the following comprehensive program and services:

Physicans Reach Out program: In partnership with the Mecklenburg County Medical Society and the Charlotte Dental Society, 1600 volunteer physicians, dentists and allied health providers provide free or low-cost healthcare for low-income indivduals who do not qualify for Medicaid and do not have access to private health insurance.

The Care Ring Low-Cost Clinic in uptown Charlotte is a solution for the uninsured who can afford modest office visit fees. Low-cost lab work is conducted on site. The clinic is open Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm for non-emergency appointments.

Nurse-Family Partnership is a national model, evidenced-based nurse home-visiting program that improves the health and well-being of first-time, low-income mothers and their children.
