Youth Tutoring

"Nobody cares what you know, until they know that you care." That's an old saying but still true. In order to heal the community, it takes time and effort to build relationships. If you are interested in doing more than posting on social media or attending a meeting than we have lots of opportunities for you.

Hands On Charlotte recruits volunteers and then leads them in community service projects. We provide a trained volunteer for every project.

Basic Volunteer Facts

  • A long-term commitment is not required.
  • You choose the project you would like to attend: evening or daytime, weekends or weekdays, whatever your schedule allows.
  • We have service projects for the whole family.
  • Sample many different projects and find out which ones are right for you.

All adult volunteers first register on our website and then complete an orientation session. All volunteers must pass a criminal background check and pay a one-time $20 engagement fee. Volunteers then receive access to sign up for opportunities on our web site.
