ORGANIZATION: Southfield Youth Assistance

Do you have a desire to positively impact youth through community outreach and engagement? Interested in serving youth and families in the Southfield and Lathrup Village area? We are looking for individuals interested in becoming members on the Southfield Youth Assistance Volunteer Board of Directors.

Our Volunteer Board of Directors work diligently to provide family education programs, mentoring opportunities, and fundraising events to support youth programming.

Open Volunteer Positions:

Family Education - Experience with curriculum development, violence prevention, family engagement, youth empowerment, and educational outreach

Fundraiser - Experience with sales, developing cleaver ways to raise money, desire to learn how to effectively fundraise and earn profits for a non-profit organization.

Marketing/Public Relations - Experience with public relations, marketing, or communications, developing a brand, desire to help expand knowledge and volunteer base for Southfield Youth Assistance.

Description

Southfield Youth Assistance (SYA) is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) prevention program that focuses on providing services to youth and families in the Southfield and Lathrup Village communities. SYA is sponsored by Oakland County Circuit Court-Family Division, The City of Southfield and Southfield Public Schools.
