Volunteer purpose

To help Lutheran Social Services of the Southwest, Partners in Caring, launch the West Valley Food Network.

Duties and responsibilities

Volunteer would supervise the start-up, train peer leaders who are in the pilot group, educate community and operations for the West Valley Food Network. This is an innovative and community building food and information resource. A highly organized individual with an entrepreneurial spirit is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Resides close to F.A.N.N. location.

  • Available 10-15 hours per month (initially).

  • Ability to commit to two Saturdays per month.

  • Comfortable working with the demographic being served.

  • Well established in community with working knowledge of relevant human services resources.

  • Adept at inspiring a shared vision.

  • Values and appreciates those being served.

  • Gifted at bringing people together to build community.
