The Morning Closer comes to ECHO at 7:00am to check in with the overnight volunteers and see how their night went. The Closer makes sure that the nightly log sheet is filled in. The closer is also in charge of closing up the shelter and making sure that all lights are turned off, all the doors are locked, and that all clients have left the property by 7:15am. This is a short but important shift that ends at 7:30am.
Training Description: Volunteers will have orientation and training before volunteering.
Volunteer Requirements: Must enjoy working with others in a supportive role.
ECHO is currently in need of a morning closer for Wednesday mornings.
ECHO (El Camino Homeless Organization provides shelter for some of the homeless men, women, and children in SLO County 365 nights a year. Please consider helping ECHO out as we continue to provide services to those in our county who need it the most!

The purpose of the El Camino Homeless Organization (ECHO) is to focus the resources of local community, religious organizations, and individuals to help the homeless. ECHO will provide support services that address the root causes of homelessness and will help the homeless find a level of self-sufficiency that is appropriate to each individual.
Description
The El Camino Homeless Organization (ECHO) provides meals, shelter, and supportive services to the homeless and hungry of northern San Luis Obispo County. Operating 365 days a year, ECHO is volunteer based organization that is supported by a coalition of churches, service organizations, and individuals. Our family atmosphere and selfless dedication of volunteers has been a refuge for many in their times of need.
