Bethesda Project is a faith-based community which builds communities among the homeless poor of Philadelphia. Since 1979, Bethesda has worked in collaboration with local church communities and social service agencies to offer housing, supportive services, and community life programs to homeless and formerly homeless men and women afflicted with serious physical, psychological, and behavioral disabilities. A volunteer is needed as a Case Manager for the Church Shelter Program. This position includes assisting clients in obtaining social services, identifying individuals that would be a good fit for the shelter, and developing trusting relationships with clients. This position requires a valid driver’s license.

While serving full-time for 1 year at this site, volunteers also commit to living a simple lifestyle in community with other volunteers and sharing their spirituality.
