Volunteer ACE Assistant Instructor
National Junior Tennis and Learning of Trenton (NJTLT) seeks dynamic, engaging instructor with a proven ability to motivate students in our Academic Creative Engagement (ACE) Program. Candidate should have prior experience with youth, but experience is not required.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- High energy level and ability to engage students
- Excellent presentation skills
- Classroom management skills
- Able to provide students with a positive learning environment.
- Help students excel in activities.
- Ability to exercise judgment and work independently, while utilizing materials
- Ability to manage and prioritize student needs
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Great understanding of Math, Language & Writing
- BA/BS preferred or current enrolled student
- Previous training/teaching experience preferred
- Self-starter
DATES
- ACE takes place two times a week
- ACE will begin October 24th and run for approximately 12 weeks ending February 10th 2016.
- The second session of ACE is slated to begin February 13th and end May 12th.

Mission Statement
National Junior Tennis & Learning of Trenton creates opportunities for success by enriching the lives of under-resourced youth through innovative tennis, education, and mentoring programs.
Description
Our three primary programs are ASHE, ACE (Academic Creative Engagement), and Youth & Adult Lessons. The ASHE Program is a structured pathway of academic enrichment, mentoring, college preparation, year round advanced tennis training, subsidized tournament competition/travel, scholarships, internships and employment opportunities.
The ACE Program Academic Creative Engagement is an out-of-school academic curriculum connected to 21st Century Skills, National Standards and the sport of tennis. It is designed to encourage academic achievement, health/wellness and social/emotional skills by guiding children through educational processes that included decision making, problem solving and working together toward common goals.
Youth & Adult lessons runs twice a week and provides structured lessons for all ages.
