Zip on over to volunteer for Rainforest Adventure!

ORGANIZATION: Cleveland Botanical Garden

One of the least known habitats on Earth, the rainforest is filled with exciting mysteries waiting to be discovered - just like in Cleveland Botanical Garden's new spring exhibit, Rainforest Adventure! Abundant and sometimes unfamiliar sights, sounds, and plant and animal biodiversity come together to create an interactive maze where visitors experience one of the world's greatest treasures. Volunteers are needed as Activity Assistants and Mazemasters to assist visitors through this highly interactive maze and display. Help them "swing" through the canopy at the Brachiation Station or watch out for creepy-crawlies in the climb-on spider’s web, assist as they "fly" through the understory on the butterfly zip slide, or try their best "frog leap" on the forest floor!

Rainforest Adventure runs March 7-April 26, and weekday, evening, and weekend shifts are available.

  • New adult volunteers can learn more and register to attend one of our in-person Rainforest Adventure Volunteer Training sessions, scheduled for Thursday, March 5 from 6-7:30pm or Friday, March 6 from 1:30-3pm, on our website at https://cbgarden.org/current-opportunities/.
  • Teen volunteers ages 16-17 can complete and return the application available at https://cbgarden.org/wp-content/uploads/2020/02/Spring-Events-2020-student.pdf.
  • An online training and quiz will be made available to volunteers unable to attend the in-person training, but those who attend the in-person training will get first access to signing up for volunteer shifts.
