Hello, we are an after school program that serves Prek-5th grade in a low income neighborhood. Our location is in a TItle 1 school where 90% of the students have failed statewide tests. We are seeking volunteers to help teach Math, English Language Arts, computer science. Our students need a lot of academic help.
Most of our children are 2-3 grade levels behind. We are working with them to learn basic skills such as addition, subtraction, division, multiplication word problems, grammar, spelling, and much more.
Volunteers will gain great satisfaction knowing that you are the reason these students will learn important Math and ELA skills. Skills that are necessary for success in career and life.
