Mission Statement

Making Strides Against Breast Cancer is a celebration of survivorship - an occasion to express hope and our shared determination to make this breast cancer's last century.

Description

Volunteers are the heart of the American Cancer Society and play an essential role in the fight against all cancers , including breast cancer. Your reasons for fighting back are as unique and special as the story that motivates you. Maybe you volunteer in honor of a breast cancer survivor with the memory of their journey still fresh in your mind. Maybe you lost a loved one to breast cancer and you are volunteering in their memory. Maybe your own breast cancer experience motivates your efforts. Or maybe you volunteer to make sure that, one day, no one will ever have to hear the words "you have breast cancer." Whatever your motivation, when you join our volunteer family, you’ll unite with people in your community who are passionate about creating a world free from the pain and suffering caused by breast cancer.
