Committed and talented individual needed to train to develop and lead a performing and worship arts ministry for the Kingdom City Fellowship, a non-denominational Christian ministry which just launched in Downtown, Rahway.

Kingdom City is a very unique fellowship for many reasons.... We believe in teaching the Word of God in a way that you can understand and apply to your life; we believe in community and take opportunities to minister to those who are lost and forgotten; we believe in family - we go to movies together; we have dinners together; we shop together; and we play together; we believe in unity - we laugh together, crack jokes often, we think together, we cry together and most importantly, we labor together. We believe in love, such that even when we don't agree - we love anyway, because that's what Jesus did right? We're not the typical church and we're good with that.

The Arts Ministry Coordinator will work with the Pastor to develop a performing/worship ministry. We will look to build dance (tap, hip/hop, modern, liturgical, etc); step; poetry/spoken word/rap; and drama programs. Eventually, we want to develop groups for both the ministry and the general community.

It bears repeating that this opportunity will be serving a newly launching church with only a handful of members. The focus is to lay the groundwork for the department the Coordinator will EVENTUALLY build. We will need to solidify practice spaces, develop budgets and schedules, find opportunities and additional volunteers to staff the ministries that are developed.

Our time together will consist of Bible Study and planning meetings and the Coordinator will be expected to attend every week (as often as possible) to learn the heart of the Pastor and the beliefs and teachings of this ministry. The Coordinator should be someone who is very comfortable in front of large and small groups.

Service is held in the Downtown Rahway area on Sunday mornings from 11:30am to 1:30pm. We are a "come-as-you-are" fellowship - so jeans/sneakers are more than appropriate.

This starts out as a volunteer role, but as we continue to train and mold the Coordinator, the position will become salaried. A teen is welcomed to apply for this - if there is evidence of a significant artistic gift.

Interested candidates should email a resume and cover letter to KingdomCityFellowship@gmail.com.
