The Society of Exploration Geophysicists will hold their Annual Meeting in Dallas at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center from 16-21 October 2016. For Annual Meeting attendees, the SEG Wiki seeks volunteers for the 4th annual Wiki Meetup.

The Wiki Meetup will take place 17-19 October from 10:30am-2:30pm daily in the SEG Pavilion, Booth 120. Join the SEG Wiki Committee and your colleagues as we drive to reach 1,000 biographies and 100 core geophysical topics. Help your fellow volunteers with translation of Sheriff’s Encyclopedic Dictionary to Spanish. Contribute to SEG’s open, online source of applied geophysics.

We are seeking three volunteers for each shift. These volunteer shifts are available:

• Monday, 17 October: 12:30pm-2:30pm
• Tuesday, 18 October: 10:30am-12:30pm
• Tuesday, 18 October: 12:30pm-2:30pm
• Wednesday, 19 October: 10:30am-12:30pm
• Wednesday, 19 October: 12:30pm-2:30pm

In 2016, the SEG Wiki reached a milestone: 10 million views (over 6 million in 2015 alone). Over the last year, volunteers made 8,672 individual contributions and grew the number of pages in the wiki by 1,147. SEG Wiki volunteer positions offer exciting opportunities to those wishing to make a significant impact and contribution to the SEG community, its global members and affiliated societies, and the public at large.
