Volunteers are needed to help photograph our annual celebration of Everett's forested parks: Green Everett Day. We will be planting over 500 trees and shrubs in beautiful Forest Park and are seeking one or more folks to help us photograph the event. Photos will not only be a great way for our planting volunteers to remember their event but will also be used for future outreach.
Come help us capture the magic of our urban forests and our community coming together to protect them!
Note: Volunteers must have their own cameras and must be willing to give ownership of their photos taken at the event to the Green Everett Partnership and its member organizations. If photos from the event are used in future outreach, volunteer photographers will be credited.

Mission Statement
Forterra's mission is to act with immediacy to protect, enhance and steward our region's most precious resources--its communities and its landscapes. Since 1989, we have been working toward a future in which our children and grandchildren can experience nature in and around our urban environments.
Description
Forterra conserves land by working with individuals, companies and local governments. We strive to maximize the ecological value of land, while meeting the needs of landowners. We may accept land as a donation, purchase it, or transfer it to public ownership. We often serve as a broker to identify and negotiate the most effective ownership to protect important lands. We establish conservation easements to preserve special features. For each and every property, we explore available strategies or create new ones to provide permanent protection. Forterra has established a Conservation Agenda for our region, with specific priorities and methods for each type of landscape. Current initiatives include the protection of working forests on the foothills of the Cascades, and the creation of salmon sanctuaries along our region's highest quality rivers and streams.
