PSDI is looking for Board members that are committed to eradicating poverty by increasing the awareness of the need and raising funds to support the work. The families we serve in Bangladesh are the poorest of the poor and the resources we provide help them lift themselves out of poverty within 3-5 years (usually). We are in need of Board members who are fearless fundraisers to help us increase our resources, thereby increasing the number of families we serve.

About PARTNERS IN SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT INTERNATIONAL
Location:
600 West Blvd S, Columbia, MO 65203, US
Mission Statement
To support and promote the eradication of extreme poverty through a combination of integrated and independent programs that empower the poor.
Description
PSDI supports the implementation of a holistic Model through our sister organization in Bangladesh, Poverty Eradication Program (PEP). We are focused on serving the poorest people in rural areas of Bangladesh. We begin by identifying families near starvation and connect them with a social worker that nurtures them through a process beginning with meeting their basic needs then developing, with the family, a plan that offers economic opportunities to begin their journey toward self-sufficiency. Families lift themselves out of poverty through hard work and learning new behaviors and skills, including saving money and developing assets - usually within six years.
