Volunteers are needed to help Camp Sunnyside staff successfully check-in Respite campers and their personal belongings. Each camper's belongings are tagged, taken to cabins, and inventoried to ensure that campers repack all of their belongings when they return home. Help us make sure campers have a wonderful respite weekend!

ABOUT RESPITE:

The Easter Seals Iowa Respite program provides temporary care for children and adults with disabilities, allowing parents/caregivers a break while providing the clients with a safe, and supported social environment. Regularly scheduled respite weekends are held at Easter Seals Iowa Camp Sunnyside twice monthly. Emergency care is also available. Respite services provide all the amenities at Camp Sunnyside including boating, swimming, horseback riding and much more.

Easter Seals provides 15 different programs for individuals with special needs including but not limited to: Camp Sunnyside, Rural Solutions, Respite, Job Training and Employment Services, Supported Community Living, and Child Development Center.
