Who doesn't feel loved by receiving a hand-made gift. Create knitted, crocheted, or tied fleece items for hospice patients--to keep them warm and bring them comfort, not to mention brighten their days!
Lap blankets and comfort/prayer shawls are most appreciated by our patients as well as bereaved family members--use your creativity to design something special. Shawls and blankets are delivered to hospice patients by volunteers and staff. Patients treasure hand-made items and feel special that someone cared enough to think of them. This is an excellent project to work on alone or with other ladies from a social or church group. Please consider providing comfort and warming a patients' body and soul with this special gift.
