We’re looking for adult mentors who have fun with and are energized by spending time with young people ages 8 - 11. Our mentors are excited to collaborate with young people, flexible in thinking, and open to feedback. This is a group mentoring program, 2- 3 mentees will be matched with a mentor.
Program will start in March.
Ideal Candidate will:
- Attend two evening virtual mentor trainings
- Agree to perform a background check (application, fingerprinting, and a medical)
- Able to commit for 12 weeks (2 weeks training and 10 week long program)
- Creative, able to take the role of a leader
March - April 2024
- Participate in a once-a-week, 10-week long in-person program. This program will meet in the after-school hours on Mondays from 3:00 pm - 4:30 PM at PS 76 (Long Island City).

Description
A multi-service community-based organization in Long Island City Queens, Riis Settlement offers after-school programs for youth, adolescent services, immigrant services, including adult ESOL classes, and Senior Citizen support programs.
