Our Patient Care Volunteers provide patient care and support services that enhance the quality of life for patients and their families, such as reading, playing games, providing companionship, or prepare a snack as needed.
Many of our patients simply enjoy talking and engaging in conversation. We have patients at various nursing facilities, personal care homes and in private residents in Houston and the surrounding area that enjoy our volunteers. Impact a family today!
We care for terminally ill patients with a wide range of illnesses including cancer, advanced cardiac disorders, advanced neurological disorders, AIDS, ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease), Multiple Sclerosis and any other end stage disease.
Care is delivered by a team of physicians, nurses, social workers, home health aides, bereavement coordinator, pastoral counselor and volunteers. Under the direction of the patient's physician and our hospice medical director, the team follows a personalized plan of physical, emotional and spiritual care. The plan is continually reviewed and adapted to meet the patient's changing needs.
We are committed to quality of life, which enables patients to remain in the comfort and privacy of their own homes, with their loved ones. We provide the special care and services that make that choice possible.
