GIVE BACK FILL THE GAP. ReServe redefines a career arc for persons age 55+ to include skill based volunteering 10-20 hours a week with a stipend in the nonprofit sector. ReServe matches experienced professionals seeking to give back to their communities with local nonprofits in DC, MD, and VA to help them carry out their missions and to have a social impact.

ReServe is currently seeking grant writers to help a number of nonprofits in the Metropolitan DC area. Grant Writers are primarily responsible for developing and writing grant proposals to foundations and other grant-making organizations, and will persuasively communicate the organizations mission and programs to potential funders. The Grant Writer will assemble and submit grant requests, establish and maintain personal contact and relationships with foundation contacts, conduct prospect research, and maintain a calendar of submissions and other deadlines. Responsibilities include developing and writing grant proposals to foundations and other grant-making organizations, persuasively communicating the organization’s mission and programs to potential funders. Assembling and submitting grant requests, including letters, proposals, budgets, and presentations.

Nonprofits and public agencies (Partners) can tap into a lifetime of experience to fill crucial staffing gaps at affordable rates. ReServists can do great things for their communities while they put their professional expertise to work on part-time service projects, in exchange for a modest hourly stipend.

Description

ReServists provide direct services, administrative support, and capacity-building expertise in schools, social service agencies, cultural institutions, and public agencies. Many use their experience with ReServe to launch new careers in the nonprofit sector.

ReServe is supported by private and public grants and individual donations. The ReServist stipend is paid by the employers, who also pay a small program fee.

ReServe(r) is a subsidiary of Fedcap(r).
