Individual Mentoring of Middle School Refugee Youth

Save to Favorites

ORGANIZATION: Partnership for the Advancement and Immersion of Refugees (PAIR)

  • 7 people are interested

PAIR is seeking volunteers to individually mentor our students at two middle schools in the Gulfton neighborhood.

The sessions will take place at either 10:30 - 11:40 AM on Thursday mornings or 7:30 - 8:30 AM on Friday mornings. The schools have large refugee populations needing additional assistance in school work and English language practice. It is a wonderful opportunity to be a role model for a child who is adjusting to a new country and culture!

The program will begin on Thursday, Sept. 27, and we will follow the school calendar for the remainder of the year. Training will be provided.

Please apply through our website (http://www.pairhouston.org/vol-app-1/) ASAP as spots run out quickly!
