The Philadelphia Episcopal Cathedral provides a weekly food pantry that has delivered over 100,000 pounds of food in the last year. We are in need of volunteers to assist with the "back-of-the-house" operations in support of our distribution efforts.
The ideal volunteer for this support is available on a Sunday, Monday, Wednesday or Thursday morning between 8:00am and Noon (depending on delivery time) to receive, transport and stock food deliveries. Volunteers will also assist with the flow of food and containers on distribution days and the organization the stock room.
We are willing to talk to volunteers with alternate weekday hours of availability.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 16 years of age and older
- Able to lift and move up to 50lb. items
- Passionate about helping others
- Respectful of the journey of those with food insecurity issues
- Team Player
- Flexible
